How to turn your User Account Control (UAC) off on Windows Version 7

There may be instances when the User Account Control settings as set in Windows Version 7, need to be turned off. These instances include:

• When you get an Error Code 20 when opening Pastel.
• Where Pervasive fails to install on a Windows 7 machine.

To turn this option off, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Control Panel of your computer.
2. Select User Accounts.
3. Select the option to Change User Account Control Settings as indicated below :



4. On the screen that will display, click on the bar on the left and drag it from the top (Always Notify) to Never Notify and select OK to save the settings.
